The Deputy Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, UNIZIK, in Awka, Anambra state, has welcomed a set of quadruplets after waiting for years.
Prof. Charles Esimone and his wife had their first son in 2015, after 12 years of marriage. Four years after the birth of their first child, they welcomed a set of quadruplets, two boys and two girls. The babies were born on Tuesday, March 26, 2019

The first baby to be delivered through In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) has been recorded in Anambra State on 6th August 2011 at about 12:16pm and was said to weigh 3.3kg at birth.
The baby was born at Life Specialist Hospital Limited, Nnewi located at 7 Ikemba Drive, Umuele, Umudim Nnewi.
The baby boy was named Joseph after the owner of the hospital Professor Joseph Ikechebelu by his parents
